Before anything else
Most school apps check whether you got the answer right. This one checks whether you can explain why it works to someone who keeps asking questions.
Nothing on your map fills in because you clicked through it. It fills in because you explained it.
How much time this actually takes
About 9 hours a week in Grade 6. A lot of that is reading, which mostly does not feel like work. The genuinely hard part is around five hours.
When school is too much, this is a whole week
- Two maths sessions
- One hard problem
- One science session
- Reading
- The error journal
That is not a reduced week and it is not falling behind. Some weeks are like that.
